Hello, my name is Katie Murnane. I am in Transition Year. This is a website to tell you about colour blindness.
Colour blindness is a genetic disorder. The chemist John Dalton discovered the disorder in 1798, after discovering his own colour blindness. Color blindness is usually classified as a mild disability.
Color vision deficiencies can be classified as acquired or inherited. The type I want to tell you about today is inherited colour blindness. There are three types of inherited color blindness: monochromacy, dichromacy, and anomalous trichromacy.
I'm going to tell you about all three types, the background of colour blindness and some fun facts about the genetic disorder.
I hope you enjoy reading,
Katie x
